inspired by the story 'Five Lighthouse Letters' by Andrew Mackenzie
lyrics
Seagull bones, sand and stones,
Wind and waves and wanting.
Transmitting on all frequencies,
Is anybody out there?
If you see my light, keep away:
This siren song betrays.
Angels bearing letters from a lighthouse
Bound for destinations unknown.
Don’t ask me to cry
For all those who will never fly,
I don’t need them anymore,
No, I don’t.
Seeking light, piercing night,
Wings and weeds and warning.
Keep your distance, raise your sail,
It's not your soul to save.
Angels bearing letters from a lighthouse
Bound for destinations unknown.
Don’t ask me to cry
For all those who will never fly,
I don’t need them anymore,
I’m going home.
Home.
A lighthouse is a needle,
The rock a lodestone,
Threads a course through the ether
And points the way home.
Angels bearing letters from a lighthouse
Bound for constellations unknown.
Don’t ask me to cry
If you never try to fly,
I don’t need you anymore,
Let me go.

REALLY wish I'd subscribed sooner to be able to enjoy this on vinyl! Curious the artist cited 12 Monkeys and not La Jetee as one of the key inspirations. For me, this has a more somber, introspective and timeless feel more akin to La Jetee than 12 Monkeys (though I also am a big fan of Terry Gilliam). Gorgeous music and you get the bonus of a list of excellent movies to enjoy (another note to the artist: Time Crimes is also a good film to watch). Now to somehow procure a vinyl copy... Fascinating chat with Mr. Concretism. Great to hear about his synths and software and the track by track analysis of The Concretism Archive vol.1 adds to the listening experience - more of that sort of thing please! Infinite Tapes

Hugely enjoyable companion piece to Eternal Return, with space given to allow tracks to develop and evolve. After listening to Eternal Return, you are left wanting more - and here it is! EdgeofMull
